How to find the correct part number for your machine (and avoid parts that don't fit)
The biggest waste of time and money in spare parts is a part that arrives and doesn't fit. The same model can have several versions, and parts change with build year and serial number. That's why ordering by part number or serial number is the safest way.
1. Serial number / VIN
This is the most important number. It is on a metal plate on the machine body, usually near the cab or on the frame, and on the machine's registration card. With the serial number we can identify the exact version and find the correct part numbers.
2. The number on the old part
Most parts have a printed, stamped or stickered number. Clean the part and photograph the number clearly. Note: sometimes it's the OEM maker's number (such as Donaldson or Bosch) rather than the machine maker's, which is also useful to us.
3. The parts manual
If you have the machine's parts manual, it has detailed diagrams and a number for every part. Photograph the page and mark the part.
If you can't find any number
- Photograph the part from several angles, with an object of known size next to it (like a pen or a tape measure).
- Photograph where it fits on the machine.
- Photograph the machine plate or registration card.
- Send the photos to us on WhatsApp or upload them with a quote request, and we'll find the number.
